Welcome
to Flippin
Flippin
is known as the home of the "Ranger" bass boat. First designed
and developed here by Flippin's own Forrest Wood, Ranger Boats continues
to be a vital industry in the Flippin area. Other industries find Flippin
to be a desirable location as well. We have two industrial parks - east
and west - with about 100 acres available inside the city limits with
zoning for either industrial use or commercial use.
Fishing and boating highlight Flippin's way of life because we are so
close to gigantic Bull Shoals Lake, the White River, and Buffalo National
River and Park. Flippin offers good schools, two-year colleges only minutes
away, a growing population, access to high-quality medical care, a safe
environment, and friendly residents to round out the Flippin lifestyle.
Many of our residents came here as tourists and liked the living here.
I invite you to get to know Flippin for the future.

Flippin Receives Four Star Award
Flippin was one of 26 Arkansas cities to receive the Four Star Municipality
Award for demonstrating excellence in loss control management during
the past year. The award covered employee safety, wellness, vehicle safety,
and prevention of legal liability. Mayor Mary Jane Erwin said although
no Flippin city officials could attend the meeting when the award was
given, Flippin had received the award and she has presented it to the
council.
The Arkansas Municipal League announced the awards at its convention
in late June. The League said cities which win this award help their
towns save money through lower program rates, have healthier employees,
and save other costs.

"The Home of Ranger Boats"
Flippin, in the Ozark Mountains of north central Arkansas, has an official
city population of 1,357 and employs residents from all of Marion and
surrounding counties. Flippin is the home of Ranger Boats. The well-known
Ranger brand bass boat was created and has been built here since 1968.
Additional jobs come from industries which make molded plastic parts
and cable technology. A considerable number of area residents work in
the tourism industry.
Flippin has excellent public schools, easy access to nearby higher educational
institutions, scenic beauty, a pleasantly mild climate, and outstanding
recreational opportunities. Named for the Thomas Flippin family and incorporated
in 1921, the town of Flippin welcomes its visitors, businesses and industries
into their Flippin family. Flippin is located near Bull Shoals Lake,
the White River and Buffalo National River. Flippin is enjoying a prosperous
present, while it prepares for a fantastic future.
