Flippin has a mayor/council form of government with four council members elected from wards. Flippin City Hall can be reached at 870-453-8300. Five city police officers serve the town. The fire department consists of approximately 20 volunteer fire fighters. The town's fire rating is a Class 5. City Utilities

Prepared for the Future As the information sector of the economy transforms American business operations and leisure time, Flippin has an advanced, all-digital telecommunications company, Northern Arkansas Telephone Company (NATCO) with a division offering unregulated services, Natco Technologies. Available to individuals and businesses are DSL, ISDN, Internet access, videoconferencing, and Centrex commercial systems. NATCO's charitable foundation, South Shore Foundation, provides grants to rural schools in its service area for distance learning classes. The Foundation also works to promote economic development by awarding grants to nonprofit organizations and communities.
