City Government and Services
Flippin has a mayor/council form of government with four council

Six full-time city police officers serve the town.
The fire department consists of approximately 20 volunteer fire fighters.

Water
There is an unlimited supply
of water since the water comes from Bull Shoals Lake. Flippin’s
water system can pump more than a half million gallons a day and
has storage of 400,000 gallons. Flippin’s city water rates
are $13.55 for the first 2,000 gallons and $4.60 for each additional
part of 1,000 gallons. Flippin’s
rural water rates are $16.45 for the first 1,500 gallons plus $5.35

Sewer
Sewer treatment capacity is
a half million gallons/day. Rates are $10 for the first 1,000 gallons
plus $1.25 for any additional part of 1,000 gallons. For more information,

Trash
Trash pickup service is provided
to commercial customers by the company which receives the bid for
city trash pickup. Residential pickup charges are $7.45 per month. For

Electricity
Entergy
Corporation serves
the Flippin area with transmission voltages of 161,000

Each business pays a flat $25 annual business
